Tuscan Mark Installation 2019

Tuscan Mark Lodge No 1099 held their Installation meeting on Monday 16 December at Liverpool Masonic Hall. This year it was a proclamation meeting as the Worshipful Master; WBro Alan Bresnen was remaining the chair.

WBro John Sarti, GStwd; Prov Grand Charity Steward, was the RW Provincial Grand Master representative at the meeting. This was John’s first representation since receiving his Grand rank earlier this year and he was accompanied by several Grand officers including WBro Mike Winterbottom, PGSD, who is the PGM’s special rep for the Liverpool area.

With the small number attending the meeting the Grand offices did not parade in, but took their places for the opening. Once the Worshipful Meeting had been opened; WBro Sandy, PProvGStdB, gave the salutations and then proclaimed WBro Bresnen Master of Tuscan Mark Lodge for the following year. With the new officers in place it was time for the addresses to be given.

First up was WBro Tony Kennedy, PPrGJW, who gave a first class address to the Master. This was followed by WBro Colin Svenson, PAGDC, who did the Wardens address, with the address to the Overseers given by WBro Sandy Kean. WBro John Sarti then stepped up to give his first address to the brethren, which went down well.

With the ceremony completed it was again time for WBro Sarti to jump to his feet and bring the congratulations and thanks of the PGM to WBro Bresnen, for taking the chair once again.   Being the Provincial Charity Steward, John was delighted to receive the charity cheque from the Worshipful Master.

Then it was time for dinner and as always with Tuscan Mark Lodge this was somewhat of an explosive affair. It has become the Lodge’s tradition over years to use ever larger ‘Party Poppers’ at certain points during the festive board. We wish WBro Alan Bresnen and Tuscan Mark Lodge a happy and successful season.
